There are two very similar wiring schemes for the reversing camera and the REV Wire on an Androidheadunit. The first system (Circuit A) picks up the power for both the signal and the camera.
Once activated by reverse, camera keeps 12v in its red wire even if it is removed from suply. Then only key removal will turn it off with whole system of course.
I've got a standard Androidheadunit in my car, and I was wondering if there's a way to utilize the rear reverse camera as a rearview camera when I'm driving forward. Currently, it only activates when I put the car in reverse, but it would be super useful to have it as a constant rearview feed.
