It was hot on the sand but sizzling in the sky, as planes roared past the crowds in Atlantic City for the newly revamped Soar & Shore Festival.

The Wahon Wheel singer and former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman got through four songs before ending his concert when he just couldn’t sing anymore.

Planes will be in the sky for practice Tuesday and Wednesday, as Atlantic City brings back its annual air show after a year-hiatus.
