If GM opts to take the ICE route when it comes to the next-generation Chevy Camaro, we have to wonder - what would be used for the next-gen Camaro base engine?

Production of the 2023 Chevy Camaro with the 2.0L I4 LTG engine is nearing completion, while it is unclear if the engine will be a 2024 Chevy Camaro option.

The fact of the matter is, though, the sixth-gen Camaro equipped with the V6 engine still offers quite a lot of fun in both the driving feel and the noise it makes.

Sadly, Chevrolet is no longer offering the 1LE performance package on its V6 or turbo-four-cylinder Camaro offerings.

Only the V6 and LT4 V8 engines remain, meaning the base price of a Camaro has now risen to $32,495. That's $4700 more than the previous starting price of $27,795.
