Some clever inmates at the Lake County Jail in Florida figured out a money-making scheme by scamming a phone system mistake. One inmate even made enough to post bond and get out of jail.

There are new surveillance cameras at the Santa Clara County Jail tonight. The Sheriff's office says it's a big step towards the implementation of reforms in a troubled system.

A recent non-compliance notice, later rescinded, stemmed from a system glitch affecting inmate check records. The Downtown El Paso County Jail is more than 40 years old.
