The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is proposing to close a popular exit along the Garden State Parkway, but businesses, already hit hard by the pandemic, say the move would hurt them even more.

The turnpike, an express toll road covering 117 miles, connects some of the state’s suburbs to New York, Philadelphia and other major cities on a gargantuan concrete highway.
