The Citrix replacement for Microsoft's Azure RemoteApp service will be available in technical preview before the end of this year and generally available next year.

Microsoft is dropping its Azure RemoteApp technology over the course of the next year and guiding customers to go, instead, with virtualization software and service from Citrix.

Microsoft plans to roll out its Azure RemoteApp service next week and it has announced the pricing for the service today.
