Toshiba revealed Aug. 22 that it will soon add three new high-density flash memory cards to its product lineup—including one it touts as the worlds first 32GB flash card.

Toshiba on Thursday announced 4GB and 2GB CompactFlash cards for use in digital camcorders, music players and cameras.The cards feature 90-nanometer NAND flash memory technology, the company said.

Toshiba announced it's reached the 32GB frontier with SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) flash memory cards, a successor to the widely used SD format that extends to bigger sizes.

Toshiba has introduced a new line of SDHC UHS-I memory cards which are do to start shipping in November. The cards will have read speeds up to 95MB/s and write speeds up to 80MB/s.
