The summer of soccer is taking a new look this year with the FIFA Club World Cup, which brings the first edition of the expanded competition to the United States for a 32-team tournament featuring teams from around the world competing for a share of the $1 billion prize purse.

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano says Lionel Messi is “fine” and available to play Porto on Thursday in the MLS side’s second Club World Cup game. The former Barcelona star is key to Miami’s hopes of making it out of group A and has been prominent in the marketing of the newly-expanded FIFA tournament this summer.
