MLB’s decision to make Rose eligible for the Hall of Fame is a betrayal of Bart Giamatti, the commissioner who banned him 35 years ago, son says.

Pete Rose was banned from Major League Baseball after he bet on games while he was a manager and player for the Cincinnati Reds. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred reinstated Rose back into the league. Rose died last year and could be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2028.
