Kenzie Beach has the latest on the Greer Fire that has forced several residents in eastern Arizona to flee from their homes. It has grown to more than 7,000 acres as of May 14.
The fire is estimated to be more than 3,500 acres and is burning in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest near Greer.
As the Greer Fire burns in eastern Arizona, the weather may increase fire risk there, and a red flag warning was issued for May 14 until the evening, according to the National Weather Service's Flagstaff office.
The Greer Fire quickly grew to more than 3,000 acres as 65 mph winds in Apache County grounded air tankers and pushed flames to the east and northeast. FOX 10's Kenzie Beach has more from eastern Arizona.
