Tornado Ravages Dodge County as Juneau and Mayville Suffer Major Damage and Widespread Power Outages
Tornado hits Dodge County, leaving over 14,000 without power and causing severe damage to Juneau and Mayville, with emergency responses underway.
Several tornadoes reportedly touched down in western and central Wisconsin on May 15 as a storm brought "significant damage" to Dodge County.
Sitting in his small Ford Ranger pickup truck, Bob Schwandt St., was visibly emotional as he surveyed the damage on his family farm outside of Juneau, Wisconsin. One of the 80-foot blue Harvestore silos had collapsed at the base and tumbled onto his milking barn, destroying the structure.
The town of Juneau one of those communities greatly impacted; there’s a lot to clean up. On the northwest side of Juneau, people say they have never seen such a strong storm hit the area. Several buildings impacted just outside of town as well.
Mid-May is living up to its reputation for severe weather as an active weather pattern brings the threat of strong tornadoes, damaging hail and intense, destructive wind gusts over multiple days.

Several areas of Wisconsin are assessing damage and cleaning up May 16 after severe storms hit the state the previous day. In Dodge County, some homes and businesses in the Juneau, Horicon and Mayville areas were destroyed as a tornado was spotted shortly before 6 p.m., according to National Weather Service meteorologist Sarah Marquardt.
The National Weather Service has confirmed two more tornadoes in central Clark County, and one in western Marathon County, bringing the total to four locally and ten across Wisconsin. NWS says an EF-1 was on the ground in Christie Thursday evening,
