American Airlines flight to Phoenix diverted due to a passenger's device catching fire, landing safely in Virginia.

A Phoenix-bound American Airlines jet that left Philadelphia more than an hour behind schedule Saturday was diverted to Washington Dulles International Airport after the crew reported “a fire” in one of the passenger rows, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Flight 357 landed safely in Virigina after a fire and smoke were seen within the passenger rows of the Airbus cabin.
