Radar update 112 PM Dec 9th: Here's an excellent example of what virga looks like on radar. As the NWS radar beam moves away from the radar site, it gains elevation. By the time the radar beam samples the atmosphere above Davenport or Liberty Lake, it has an elevation of 3000-4000 feet. Check out the egg shaped feature over Spokane where radar values are low.
