This week, we had a mixture of VE themed flowers and special VE Day edition tins of Uncle Joe's mint balls delivered to all care homes in the borough. Pat, 82, is a resident at Norley Hall care home. She was overcome with joy when the Uncle Joe's delivery came. They were her favourite sweets as a child but they were rationed at the time. She said the delivery brought back lots of happy memories.
