At 14, Courtney’s school referred her to a Mission Australia program, to assist her with life skills and support. Courtney didn’t expect much, but through the guidance of her caseworker Kassie, she developed confidence, independence and is now living in her own home. Through Mission Australia’s Targeted Earlier Intervention program funded by DCJ, Courtney completed a 10-week course covering literacy and numeracy, which helped to make her job ready.
