The BeamShaper adapts the shape and size of the laser beam’s focal spot for the cutting of >10mm mild steel sheets. It enables the flame cutting of up to 30-millimeter mild steel. BeamShaper increases the flexibility with regard to material and the cutting speed during flame cutting. A variety of steel qualities with a thickness above 10 millimeters can be cut with smooth edges. This reduces post-processing and facilitates the unloading of cut parts. The Automatic Nozzle Centering centers the nozzle with extreme accuracy, quickly and without any operator intervention. Only the initial setup has to be done manually by determining the X/Y coordinates of the nozzle via tape shot.
